A case beneath the WB Black Marketing Act 1948 has been lodged towards the trio and officers of the portal and CAB.

On Thursday evening, police arrested two from Dharmatala for alleged black-marketing of tickets and seized eight tickets from them.

Acting on a separate criticism, Hare Street police arrested an individual for duping a person in the title of promoting match tickets, he added. The first case of black advertising and marketing was registered at Maidan police station on Wednesday after a criticism was obtained that tickets had been being bought at astronomical figures “owing to the connivance of an online portal along with officials of the CAB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)” for the India-South Africa match on Sunday, he mentioned.

The officer mentioned raids will proceed to maintain a test on the black advertising and marketing of tickets. “Our officers are alert and raids will continue,” the officer instructed PTI. The complainants alleged that sure BCCI and CAB officers, together with the net ticket reserving portal, deliberately reserved a great quantity of tickets meant for most people and made these out there to black-marketers.

A senior CAB official rubbished the allegations and mentioned they had been solely internet hosting the match and had no involvement in the promoting of tickets which was sorted by the portal and the International Cricket Council (ICC).
