17 held in hookah bar bust in Delhi.
The Delhi Police on Thursday busted a hookah bar working in the basement of a property vendor’s workplace in west Delhi’s Paschim Vihar space and arrested 17 folks, officers mentioned.
The metropolis authorities has imposed a lockdown throughout the nationwide capital because of the rising coronavirus instances.
The accused violated the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) pointers, police mentioned.
“Police received a tip-off and conducted a raid at the basement of Gupta Properties, main Sayyed Nangloi Road, Bhaira Enclave, Paschim Vihar where an illegal hookah bar was being run in violation of the lockdown orders implemented in Delhi,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Sudhanshu Dhama mentioned.
The proprietor of the hookah bar, Sumit Gupta, a resident of Nihal Vihar, was current on the spot. Seventeen people- 14 friends, two staff and the proprietor, have been discovered current in the bar, Dhama mentioned.
A case underneath related sections has been registered at Paschim Vihar West police station.
Police recovered 5 hookahs, 9 coils, 9 flavoured packets and different gadgets, they added.
