Mumbai: Another stunning case of rape was reported within the monetary capital of the nation whereby a 19-year-old lady was gang-raped at Bandstand in Bandra (west) on May 12. After the matter got here to mild, Mumbai Police has registered a case and arrested the three accused.

According to info obtained from the Bandra Police, the incident befell on the night of May 12. The sufferer had gone to Bandstand to satisfy her pal.

The two accused have been behind her and shortly after, the third offender arrived on the venue after which the incident befell.

The accused are reported to have taken the sufferer to their house. The sufferer managed to run away from their residence on May 13 and filed a case in Shivaji Nagar police station.

“A case of gang rape with a 19-year-old girl has come to light in the Bandra area of Mumbai. The police have registered a case under Section 376 (D) of the IPC on the basis of the statement of the victim and have initiated further investigation. All the three accused are held and were produced in the Court. The accused will stay in police custody till May 19,” the police acknowledged.
