Police have registered instances in reference to two separate incidents of theft on skywalks in Maharashtra’s Thane metropolis and neighbouring Navi Mumbai township, officers mentioned on Monday. Both the incidents happened on Sunday, they mentioned.

A 26-year-old man was returning after work and was on a skywalk close to R Mall in Thane metropolis at round 8 pm when an individual got here from behind and pushed him, an official from Chitalsar police station mentioned.

The accused snatched the sufferer’s cell phone value Rs 25,000. When the sufferer tried to get his telephone again, the accused punched him, leaving the sufferer injured, he mentioned.
