At least three individuals have been killed when an inebriated 18-year-old rammed his Mercedes into a taxi after leaping a crimson gentle in Mohali and hit two cyclists.
According to the police, two occupants of the taxi, Dharampreet Singh and Ankush Narula, and a bike owner, Ram Prasad, died, whereas three individuals sustained accidents in the crash close to the Radha Soami Chowk on Saturday.Â
The police stated the trio in the posh automobile have been drunk when the accident passed off. They fled after the crash, the police stated, including neither they knowledgeable the cops nor referred to as an ambulance.Â
The police have recovered empty bottles of liquor from the Mercedes, including Samrat didn’t have a driving licence.Â
Meanwhile, the police has arrested the teenagar, Samrat of Chandigarh, who was allegedly driving the automobile. Samrat and his associates Arun and Prabhnoor, who have been accompany him in the Mercedes, have been booked.Â
The police are conducting raids and can arrest the opposite two quickly, officers stated.Â
A prison case has been registered underneath sections 304 (culpable murder not amounting to homicide) and 120B (prison conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the Mataur police station in opposition to the accused.
