With the panchayat elections not far away in West Bengal, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari of the BJP claimed in the Assembly on Friday, March 10, 2023, that 34 per cent of the seats had gone uncontested in the 2018 polls and gained by the ruling Trinamool Congress.
