The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered a probe into how a Singapore-bound flight took off hours ahead of schedule, leaving behind 35 passengers on the Amritsar airport.

The probe was initiated by the aviation regulatory authority after a Scoot Airline flight which was initially scheduled to depart at 7.55 p.m. on Wednesday from the Amritsar Airport took off at 3 p.m., hours ahead of its departure time.

This triggered chaos on the airport with indignant passengers who have been left behind staging a protest. They registered their criticism with the authorities involved on the airport.

After Airport authorities contacted the airline officers they have been knowledgeable that the passengers have been knowledgeable in regards to the change in flight time by way of e-mail.

Around 280 passengers have been to journey to Singapore however 253 passengers have been rescheduled, leaving behind over 30 passengers,” Amritsar airport Director instructed ANI.
