77 Elected Unopposed in Second Phase of ULB Polls in UP

State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar stated the second section of polling will probably be held on May 11 for seven municipal firms, 590 municipal wards, 95 municipal council presidents and a pair of,551 councillors

Candidates for a complete of 77 posts, together with one Nagar (*77*) president, have been elected unopposed in the second section of the continuing city native physique elections in Uttar Pradesh, the State Election Commission stated.

The election of Rabupura Nagar (*77*) president of Gautam Buddha Nagar district has been held unopposed. Apart from this, 5 councillors from Aligarh, three from Meerut, and one councillor from Ghaziabad have been elected unopposed.

Similarly, out of 36 unopposed members in Nagar Panchayats, 16 have been elected from Gautam Buddha Nagar, three from Etah, two every from Azamgarh, Banda, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Aligarh and Hathras and one every from Bulandshahr, Barabanki, Siddharthnagar, Pilibhit and Hamirpur, in response to a press assertion issued by the election fee on Saturday.

State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar stated in the assertion that 31 members of municipal councils have been elected unopposed in completely different districts.

He stated seven municipal council members in Etah, 5 in Badaun, 4 in Bulandshahr, three in Etawah, two every from Kanpur Nagar, Kasganj, Baghpat and one every from Kannauj, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mirzapur, Sultanpur and Hapur have been elected unopposed.

Kumar knowledgeable that the second section of polling will probably be held on May 11 for seven municipal firms, 590 municipal wards, 95 municipal council presidents and a pair of,551 councillors and 268 posts of nagar panchayat presidents and three,495 members in 38 districts in the state.

In the primary section on May 4, polling was held for numerous posts of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in 37 districts together with 10 Municipal Corporations. The counting of votes of each phases will probably be held on May 13.
