Eight railway policemen from Pune have been positioned beneath suspension after some irregularities had been present in a contraband seizure case, officers stated on Saturday.
Charas value Rs 1.20 crore was seized final 12 months, and the case was then transferred to Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad, they stated.
“Some errors were found in the case after which eight railway policemen, including an inspector, have been placed under suspension,” an official stated on situation of anonymity.
Superintendent of Police (Pune GRP), Sadanand Wayse-Patil refused to remark stating the case was sub judice.
