Eight pilgrims from Tamil Nadu had been killed in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district in the early hours of Sunday, police stated. A tempo, carrying the pilgrims, rammed right into a stationary truck close to a petroleum bunk at Damaramadugu in Bucchireddipalem mandal.
Seven others had been injured in the accident and had been admitted to a hospital in Nellore.
According to the police, the accident occurred round 2 a.m. when a gaggle of individuals from Tamil Nadu had been returning house after pilgrimage to Srisailam temple and different shrines.
Front portion of the tempo was badly mangled in the collision. Police rushed to the scene and extricated the our bodies and shifted the injured to the hospital.
Tempo driver and 5 others seated in entrance seats died on the spot. Two others succumbed whereas being shifted to hospital.
The deceased included three girls. A complete of 15 folks had been travelling in the tempo.
Police suspect that the tempo driver may need slept on the wheel, resulting in the accident. Poor visibility in the realm can be believed to be the rationale for the collision.
Police stated they’ve registered a case for additional investigations.
