Tokyo Olympics: UP government to give Rs 6 crore to athletes from state who bag gold

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday (July 13) introduced Rs 6 crore money reward for athletes belonging to the state on profitable gold medals on the Tokyo Olympics.

A complete of 10 gamers from the state will symbolize India within the Tokyo Olympics.

The state government has stated it is going to give Rs 4 crore to athletes who win silver and Rs 2 crore to bronze winners.

For sportspersons collaborating in workforce occasions, Rs 3 crore every will likely be given to the gold medallists whereas Rs 2 and Rs 1 crore will likely be given to silver and bronze medal winners respectively.

All different athletes from the state will likely be given Rs 10 lakh regardless of how they fare on the occasion.

The chief minister congratulated the athletes forward of the showpiece occasion.
