MILWAUKEE: Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Corbin Burnes will begin Game 1 of the NL Division Series with the Atlanta Braves on Friday.

The Brewers introduced Tuesday that Burnes (11-5, 2.43 ERA) will begin the opening recreation and that right-hander Brandon Woodruff (9-10, 2.56) will begin Game 2 on Saturday. The Braves are going with right-hander Charlie Morton (14-6, 3.34) for Game 1 and left-hander Max Fried (14-7, 3.04 ERA) for Game 2.

Burnes led the NL in ERA this season and had 234 strikeouts and solely 34 walks in 167 innings.

In his solely begin towards the Braves this season, Burnes gave up 5 runs and 9 hits over 4 innings. The Brewers nonetheless gained the July 30 recreation 9-5. Morton made one begin towards the Brewers and was 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
