The Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 is assembly on Monday. This assembly will likely be below the management of BJP MP, PP Chaudhary.
Consideration and Adoption of a draft report of the Joint Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 is on the agenda for the assembly.
The Union Cabinet had earlier in December 2019 authorised the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 that offers with the privateness and safety of information of Indian residents.Â
It was drafted following a Supreme Court judgement in August 2017 that declared ‘Right to Privacy’ a basic proper.
The Joint Committee of Parliament had final met in Delhi on November 12 to take into account and undertake the draft report of the Bill.
The Joint Committee has been constituted to look at `The Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019′ which was launched in Lok Sabha on December 11, 2019.
The Bill goals to present for the safety of the privateness of people relating to their private knowledge, specify the movement and utilization of private knowledge, create a relationship of belief between individuals and entities processing the non-public knowledge, defend the rights of people whose private knowledge are processed, to create a framework for organisational and technical measures in processing of information, laying down norms for social media middleman, cross-border switch, accountability of entities processing private knowledge, treatments for unauthorised and dangerous processing, and to set up a Data Protection Authority of India.Â
