UP Election 2022: More Votes For NOTA Than Those Polled In Favour Of Popular Parties


New Delhi: With BJP set to kind its second consecutive authorities in Uttar Pradesh, the ‘NOTA’ possibility on digital voting machines has obtained extra votes than these solid in assist of some main political events within the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the vote share of NOTA (not one of the above) within the election stood at 0.69 per cent, eclipsing the vote share of AAP (0.35 per cent) and JD-U (0.11 per cent), PTI reported.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) obtained 0.47 per cent of the votes solid.

The CPI obtained 0.07 per cent of the vote, whereas the NCP obtained 0.05 per cent of the vote. Shiv Sena obtained 0.03 per cent of the votes. 

CPI(M), CPI(ML), and LJP(RV) every obtained 0.01 per cent of the vote.

According to the ECI web site, AIFB, IUML, and LJP didn’t get any votes and had a vote share of 0 per cent.

The BJP’s vote share stood at 41.6 per cent, whereas that of the Samajwadi Party (SP) at 32 per cent. The vote share of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is 12.8 per cent and that of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) 3.02 per cent.

The vote share of the Congress is 2.38 per cent.

In 2017, the BJP received 312 seats and its allies Apna Dal and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) 9 and 4 seats, respectively. The SP received 47 seats, BSP 19, Congress seven and others 5 seats within the final meeting elections.
