16th Round Of India-China Commander Level Talks Held For Disengagement Of Troops Along LAC


New Delhi: The 16th spherical of talks between the Indian and Chinese navy commanders, to finish the greater than two-year lengthy stand-off alongside the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in jap Ladakh, concluded round 10pm on Sunday, based on reviews. As per reviews, the 2 sides are believed to have mentioned the problem of disengagement of troops at patrolling level PP-15, popularly often known as Hot Springs, on the 16th spherical of Corps Commander-level talks.  

The dialogue was held on the Indian aspect of Chushul-Moldo border assembly level. Commander of 14 Corps, Lt General A Sengupta led the Indian delegation for the talks which commenced at 9.30 within the morning.

It is to be famous that the trouble to renew discussions for alleviating the tense state of affairs following the navy stand-off in May 2020, was initiated by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, throughout an engagement with Chinese Foreign minister Wang Yi, at Bali, early this month, on the sidelines of the G-20 Foreign Ministers summit.

“Recalling the disengagement achieved in some friction areas, the external affairs minister reiterated the need to sustain the momentum to complete disengagement from all the remaining areas to restore peace and tranquillity in the border areas,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) mentioned in a press release after the assembly.

The final spherical of talks between the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was held on March 11.
