Three unlicensed water plants closed in Chittoor and Tirupati districts


Vigilance and Enforcement Department officers inspecting an unlicensed water plant close to Chittoor on Friday.

Vigilance and Enforcement authorities on Friday raided three unlicensed water plants in Chittoor and Tirupati districts and ordered their closure with speedy impact.

Okay. Eswara Reddy, Vigilance and Enforcement Officer, together with the officers of the meals security and authorized metrology wings, performed the raids on the three plants in Srikalahasti and KVB Puram mandals of Tirupati district, and Gudipala mandal in Chittoor district.

Six aqua mineral water plants and RO plants in Panaturu village, Gudipala mandal are to be inspected. The officers mentioned that throughout the inspections, the house owners of the water plants had been detained after it emerged that they didn’t possess any licenses, and had been discovered to be negligent in treating the water, thus posing a danger to public well being.

Mr. Reddy mentioned that the inspections would proceed and authorized motion can be taken towards those that violate the foundations and rules in water plants and resort to harming public well being.
