The Jammu and Kashmir authorities is procuring a fleet of 200 electrical buses to set up environment-friendly and socially sustainable community of public transport within the Union Territory’s twin capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar, officers mentioned on Friday. For this, Tata Motors has been given land to construct the depot whose building has began, they mentioned.
The Jammu and Kashmir authorities is procuring 100 e-buses every for each the capital cities, the officers mentioned.
The electrical buses will set up an environmentally, socially and financially sustainable community of public transport within the metropolis, mentioned Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) Rahul Yadav who reviewed the undertaking.

New buses were not purchased for many years and we were also questioned over it,” he had said on the time. Out of the 7,379 buses, greater than 4,000 are being operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation and over 3,000 by means of the DIMTS, he added.
