GOPESHWAR: As preparations start for the upcoming Char Dham yatra, contemporary fissures have appeared on the highway connecting Narasingh temple in subsidence-hit Joshimath and Badrinath, in accordance with native activists. The Public Works Department, Uttarakhand takes care of the upkeep of the highway.
Some cracks have additionally appeared on the freeway between Joshimath and Marwari which is used for pilgrims getting back from Badrinath and passes by the principle market in Joshimath.
However, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) which maintains the freeway is repairing it, Raturi stated. To make the journey of pilgrims to Badrinath protected, the highway from the entry level of Joshimath to the gasoline godown on method to Auli must be repaired correctly as early as attainable, the JBSS spokesman stated.
Cracks on the roads have led to concern amongst locals in regards to the security of the yatra to Badrinath which begins on April 27.
