Prayagraj (UP): Umesh Pal, the prime witness within the 2005 Raju Pal homicide case, was shot lifeless at his residence right here, police stated. One of his gunners, who too was hit within the firing, died later at a hospital, they stated. Prayagraj Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma informed reporters that Umesh Pal was attacked with crude bombs and shot outdoors his home this night. Two of his gunners too have been injured within the assault.
Both gunners have been deployed in Pal’s safety by the federal government. One of the gunners, Sandeep Nishad, succumbed on the hospital.

Sharma stated that efforts are being made to establish the attackers on the premise of CCTV footage of the world.
“The incident occurred right outside the house of Umesh Pal. So far it has been confirmed that two bombs were thrown and he was fired at by a small firearm,” stated Sharma.
A case was registered on the Dhoomanganj Police Station on the grievance of the relations of the sufferer.
“We have formed eight police teams to investigate every aspect of the incident and arrest those behind the attack,” the officer added.
