Unnao, Feb 27 (IANS) A BA scholar has been arrested for taking the artwork paper of the continuing Uttar Pradesh Board examination on behalf of his youthful brother in Unnao district.
The accused, recognized as Shadab of Sherpur Qalan, stated that he appeared for the examination as his youthful brother`s drawing is “poor”.
Shadab reached the examination centre, Shakuntala Devi Kashiram Vidyalaya in Mustafabad, throughout the first shift.
After about half-an-hour, a static Justice of the Peace reached the centre with a crew.
During verification, the crew discovered that Shadab was taking the examination in place of the particular candidate, Muqeem.
Shadab instructed the static Justice of the Peace Ram Lakhan that his youthful brother`s drawing was poor, subsequently, he determined to seem on his behalf.
The crew handed over Shadab to the police.
After interrogation, a case was registered towards Shadab on the grievance of centre in cost Varsharani Mishra.
Inspector, Kotwali, Gyanendra Singh stated that the accused was arrested on the premise of a grievance.
“Investigations are underway. The accused has been booked under charges of fraud, impersonation and cheating,” the inspector stated.
The centre in cost stated that efforts have been on to seek out out if Shadab had appeared for some other paper instead of his brother.
“We are scanning the CCTV footage for verification,” she stated.
