Post-budget webinar 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a post-budget webinar on ‘Developing Tourism in Mission Mode’ today (March 2), officers mentioned. It is part of a sequence of 12 post-budget webinars being organised by the federal government to search concepts and solutions for efficient implementation of the initiatives introduced in the Union Budget.
Prime Minister Modi will address the members by way of a video conferencing hyperlink on Friday. The Union Budget has acknowledged that promotion of tourism shall be taken up in mission mode, with energetic participation of states, convergence of presidency programmes and public-private partnerships.
At least 50 locations shall be chosen by way of problem mode and developed as an entire bundle of tourism. Sector particular skilling and entrepreneurship growth shall be dovetailed to obtain the aims of the Dekho Apna Desh. The post-budget webinar being organised by the Ministry of Tourism may have six breakout classes masking the precedence areas recognized in the Union Budget, officers mentioned.
Besides ministers and secretaries of the central ministries involved, a number of stakeholders drawn from the journey and business sector, representatives from the division of tourism, college students, main industrialists, academic establishments beneath the Ministry of Tourism, will attend the session, the ministry mentioned in an announcement.
Representatives of business our bodies like FICCI and CII in addition to heads of tourism and hospitality business associations would attend these classes and contribute by way of their solutions and concepts for higher implementation of budgetary bulletins for the tourism sector.
The themes of the breakout classes are destination-centric method for tourism growth, convergence – the facility of collaboration, strengthening public non-public participation in tourism sector, driving innovation and digitalisation in tourism sector, impacting lives at grassroot stage by way of tourism and cultural heritage for promotion of tourism, it mentioned.
