Remarks in opposition to PM: The Supreme Court has prolonged the interim bail of Congress leader Pawan Khera till March 17 in a case associated to alleged objectionable remarks he made in opposition to PM Modi. The apex court docket on Friday prolonged the interim bail to Khera. He was arrested on the Delhi Airport after being deplaned from a flight to Raipur.Â
Bench to listen to plea after Holi tripÂ
The Assam Police arrested Khera within the case. A 3-judge bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices P S Narasimha and J B Pardiwala adjourned the listening to to March 17 because it had run out of time. The bench additionally identified that the replies of Uttar Pradesh and Assam weren’t on file and it’ll hear the plea after the Holi trip.
Khera was arrested for his alleged remarks in opposition to PM ModiÂ
It made clear that the interim bail granted to Khera might be prolonged till March 17 when it is going to hear the matter. Earlier, on February 27, the court docket had prolonged the safety to the Congress spokesperson till Friday. Khera was arrested on the Delhi airport after being deplaned from a flight to Raipur over his alleged remarks in opposition to Modi made at a press convention on February 17 in Mumbai.
