Srisailam temple authorities hold meeting with Karnataka devotees

As a preparatory train for the Ugadi mahotsavams to be organised from March 19 to 23 on the Bhramarambha Mallikarjunaswamy temple right here, the temple authorities on Sunday held a coordination meeting with the Karnataka devotees at Rabkavi Banhatti city, who converge on the temple city in giant numbers yearly. 

On Sunday night Manmadha Kamadahanam ritual was carried out on the Srisailam temple premises ta out the processional idols of presiding deities. An idol of Lord Manmadha fabricated from hay was placed on fireplace after performing puja. Manmadha is believed to have damaged the penance of Lord Shiva and the Eshwara had burnt him on Phalguna Suddha Chaturdashi.

The devotees from Karnataka and Maharashtra come on foot and attend the Ugadi celebrations comprising over 50% of complete arrivals. The Srisailam Devasthanam officers held a meeting at Mahadevi Mallikarjuna temple in Rabkavi city of Bagalkot district in Karnataka on Sunday within the presence of the elders of native organised groups of devotees. Srisaila Jagadguru Peetadhipathi Sri Chennasiddarama Shivacharya Mahaswamy addressed the coordination meet presided by Srisailam Devasthanam head priest H. Veera Swamy, Assistant government officer Haridasu. 

The Srisailam officers defined concerning the amenities and facilities to be supplied for devotees through the Ugadi Mahotsavams. Later, the Srisailam Devasthanam officers additionally held Dharma Prachara programmes at two completely different cities together with Rabkavi Banhatti of Karnataka.
