Minister for Municipal Administration Okay.N. Nehru, whose supporters attacked the home of DMK Rajya Sabha member Tiruchi N. Siva and his supporters at a police station in Tiruchi on Wednesday, known as on the MP at his home and supplied his rationalization on Friday night.

Mr. Nehru drove straight to Mr. Siva’s home upon his arrival in Tiruchi from Chennai after assembly Chief Minister M.Okay. Stalin within the morning. The assembly lasted about half-hour. Besides explaining his place, Mr. Nehru instructed Mr. Siva that he had no function within the incident.

“I would not have allowed this had I known about it. I told the Chief Minister that I had no role in the incident. The Chief Minister asked me to meet Mr. Siva, one of the senior leaders, who was working well in Parliament,” Mr. Nehru instructed reporters within the presence of Mr. Siva. The Minister mentioned he and Mr. Siva had a “frank conversation”.

Mr. Nehru mentioned he didn’t discover what was occurring at Mr. Siva’s home (when the incident passed off) as a police van was parked proper in entrance of his home. Thereafter, he had gone to Budalur in Thanjavur district to take part in a perform. Only there he got here to know that the police had registered a case and had been on the look-out for individuals who had barged into the police station. Mr. Siva mentioned the Chief Minister was main the State with an excellent sense of duty and Mr. Nehru met him at his intervention. “We exchanged our views and explained what had happened. Let bygones be bygones. The party is important for both of us. We work for the party at different levels. Many others are also working in different ways for the betterment of the party and future actions will be oriented towards this end,” Mr. Siva mentioned.
