New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched a scathing assault towards the BJP a day after Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena halted the Delhi authorities’s price range proposal. Taking a dig on the centre, Kejriwal mentioned they needed me to bow down. It was their ego. There are uneducated folks from prime to backside. “We want to work. We do not want to fight. Fighting serves no one. Delhi would have seen 10 times more progress had there been no tussle,” information company PTI quoted Kejriwal as saying. “Centre ‘stopping’ Delhi Budget is an attack on Constitution,” Kejriwal mentioned whereas addressing the Delhi Assembly over price range row.

Kejriwal mentioned if the prime minister needs to win Delhi, he should win the hearts of the folks of town first. “This is my mantra to him.”

“You are the elder brother and I am the younger brother. I will reciprocate if you support me. If you want to win the heart of little brother, love him,” he mentioned.

“The budget had to be presented today. The Centre stopped it. We replied to MHA’s query without making any changes to the budget and they have approved it now. They wanted me to bow down. It’s their ego and nothing else,” he mentioned.

The Centre and the Kejriwal authorities in Delhi have been at odds on numerous points, and the Aam Aadmi Party claimed on Monday that the Ministry of Home Affairs stalled the federal government’s Budget 2023-24, which was scheduled to be introduced within the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) requested the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-which led the Delhi authorities to resubmit the Budget addressing L-G’s issues relating to fiscal curiosity. The reply from the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is awaited for the final 4 days, mentioned the MHA.
