The common LPG consumption of PMUY customers has elevated by 20 per cent from 3.01 refills in 2019-20 to three.68 in 2021-22. All PMUY beneficiaries are eligible for the focused subsidy.

To make liquified petroleum gasoline (LPG), a clear cooking gas, obtainable to rural and disadvantaged poor households, the federal government launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in May 2016, to offer deposit-free LPG connections to grownup ladies of poor households.
