On the event of International Women’s Day, BCCI secretary Jay Shah introduced that the Indian Women cricket staff will play a one-off Test against England Women later in 2021. As per reviews, the fixture can be part of India’s Women tour of England, which is scheduled to happen later in the 12 months.  

India Women final featured in the longer-format of the sport again in November 2014 against South Africa Women, which the previous received by an innings in Mysore. Since then solely three Women’s Test matches have been performed, with Australia and England that includes in all of the three encounters. 

Meanwhile, India have earlier performed a Test against England in Wormsley in August 2014, which noticed present ODI skipper Mithali Raj scoring an unbeaten half-century as India received the competition by six wickets. A complete of 13 Tests have been performed between India and England, with India successful two and England successful one.

The Indian Women cricket staff performed their first worldwide fixture against South Africa Women after a spot of 364 days for the reason that Covid-19 hiatus.
