Covid cases in India: Amid the rising considerations over rising cases of coronavirus, India logged a single-day rise of two,151 infections, the highest in 5 months, taking the tally of active cases to 11,903. According to the well being ministry knowledge, a complete of two,208 cases had been recorded on October 28, 2022.

Meanwhile, the demise toll has elevated to 5,30,848 with seven extra fatalities–three reported by Maharashtra, one by Karnataka and three reconciled by Kerala. Earlier on Monday, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan chaired a high-level assembly to evaluate the preparedness standing of the complete spectrum of administration of the Covid-19 pandemic in view of the upsurge in cases, with States and UTs via a Video Conference.
