FIFA eliminated Indonesia as host of the 2023 under-20 World Cup amid political turmoil over Israel’s participation

Indonesia has been stripped of the appropriate to host the under-20 soccer World Cup, international governing physique FIFA mentioned on Wednesday.

The choice to take away Indonesia as host of the May 20-June 11 event was taken after its soccer federation (PSSI) mentioned it had cancelled the draw after the governor of the largely Hindu island of Bali refused to host Israel’s staff.
