J-K: BSF jawan dies allegedly of bullet injury by his own service rifle in Kathua

Kathua: A Border Security Force (BSF) Assistant Sub-Inspector died allegedly of a bullet injury from his own service rifle at a ahead put up close to the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officers mentioned.

The deceased have been recognized as ASI Sukhnandan Prasad (55), a resident of Madhya Pradash. He was on obligation at Border Outpost Gurnam in Hiranagar sector when his colleagues discovered him in an injured situation with a gunshot injury from his own service rifle.

He was rushed to a close-by medical facility the place he was declared introduced lifeless. According to the officers, it not clear as of now whether or not the 55-year-old ASI dedicated suicide or died after his rifle went off by accident. Further investigation is underway.
