New Delhi: Seven individuals have been killed and 37 others injured when a tree fell on a tin shed beneath which individuals have been standing in a temple premises after heavy wind and rains in Maharashtra’s Akola district, officers mentioned on Monday.
The incident befell at round 7.30 pm on Sunday at Babuji Maharaj temple positioned in Paras village beneath Balapur taluka when the folks had gathered for the ‘maha aarti’, Akola Collector Nima Arora mentioned.

State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra (*37*) expressed grief over the incident which he termed as “very serious and unfortunate”. Seven folks have been killed and 37 others injured, (*37*) mentioned, including that he has given instructions for an inquiry into the incident.
The authorities will present compensation to the households of the deceased, he mentioned. The district authorities mentioned households of every of the deceased will likely be given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh and the injured individuals will likely be given financial help as per authorities guidelines.
Due to the heavy wind and rains, a 100-year-old tree fell on a tin shed beneath which round 40 folks have been standing, the district administration mentioned. Five males and two ladies have been killed and 37 others obtained accidents, it mentioned.
