Members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) staged a protest at Mysore Bank Circle in opposition to what they known as ‘Amul’s merger with Nandini’, in Bengaluru on April 10.
The protesters threw Amul merchandise on the street and shouted slogans threatening the Karnataka authorities that the sale of Amul merchandise won’t be allowed within the State
D.P. Anjinappa, who led the protest, mentioned, “Amul is playing with the emotions of the people of Karnataka, and Kannadigas will not allow the fall of Nandini.”
The protesters blocked the circle and burnt an effigy. The police took lots of of protesters below preventive detention.
Police had been deployed within the space to make sure easy move of visitors.
