PSG Boss Christophe Galtier Denies Accusations of Discriminatory Remarks Towards Nice Players

Reports revealed that ex-Nice sporting director Julien Fournier had written an electronic mail on the finish of final season wherein he claimed Galtier had made discriminatory remarks in the direction of a piece of the Nice squad throughout his time in cost of the membership from the south of France

Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier “firmly denies” making discriminatory remarks towards players when he was in charge of Nice last season, his lawyer told AFP on Wednesday.

Olivier Martin said Galtier, who joined PSG last year, “was amazed to hear of the insulting and defamatory remarks” which appeared in an inside mail despatched by a former Nice official and had been reported earlier this week by French media.

The stories revealed that ex-Nice sporting director Julien Fournier had written an electronic mail on the finish of final season wherein he claimed Galtier had made discriminatory remarks in the direction of a piece of the Nice squad.

The message, which AFP has not been in a position to confirm, was reportedly despatched by Fournier to Dave Brailsford, the previous head of British Cycling and Team Sky now the Director of Sport at Ineos, the house owners of Nice.

“Given the seriousness of the accusations towards him, and which he firmly denies, Christophe Galtier has requested his lawyer to start directly the judicial proceedings that are all of the extra obligatory provided that, since this got here out, he has been the goal of insupportable threats and harassment,” the lawyer’s statement said.

Nice released a statement of their own to say: “This relates to two people no longer working for OGC Nice. This situation was dealt with very seriously at the time. The club will not make any further comment.”

PSG didn’t instantly reply when requested for remark.

Galtier has been below strain on the Qatar-owned membership after a hunch in kind following their elimination from the Champions League by Bayern Munich within the final 16 final month.

However, a 2-0 win away in Nice final weekend left PSG six factors clear of Lens on the high of Ligue 1 — the highest two face one another this weekend.
