RP Singh will start his stint with a two-day choice trial for the Indian workforce in Bengaluru on Saturday
Former India worldwide and Uttar Pradesh sports activities director RP Singh has been appointed as the brand new chairman of Hockey India’s choice committee, changing Harbinder Singh.
Singh was appointed to the publish on Tuesday and the brand new committee will come into impact from April 15.
Besides Singh, different members of the panel are Balwinder Singh, Mohd Riaz, MM Somaya, Subhadra Pradhan, Sardar Singh, BP Govinda, Chinglensana Singh Kanjugam, Rajnish Mishra, VR Raghunath, Sameer Dad, Yuvraj Walmiki, Joydeep Kaur and Asunta Lakra.
The committee will consist of chief coaches, scientific advisors and high-performance director of the nationwide males’s and ladies’s groups.
“The appointments for the Hockey India committees have been reviewed within the 98th assembly of Hockey India Executive Board held on twenty seventh March 2023.
“We are happy to tell you that Hockey India Executive Board has unanimously authorized in your appointment as the Chairman of Hockey India choice committee with impact from fifteenth April 2023,” HI secretary normal Bhola Nath Singh mentioned in a letter addressed to Singh, which is in possession of PTI.
“On behalf of Hockey India I would like to congratulate on your appointment as the Chairman of Hockey India Selection Committee.”
Singh was a member of the junior choice committee in 1998, and likewise served as the chairman of HI’s excessive efficiency and improvement committee in 2021.
He later grew to become a member of the senior choice panel in 2021.
