CCB officers on Monday arrested a gang of three persons concerned in a “rice pulling” device cheating case .
The accused, Venkataramana, 44, Venkatesh, 47, and Somashekhar, 47, used to lure people by utilizing a “rice pulling” device claiming to have radioactive properties and magical powers to draw wealth.
The accused would take cash prematurely, promising to promote the device, and would then escape.
The accused had cheated many people within the State and accrued properties, together with SUVs, gold valuables, and money.
Several cheating complaints have been filed in opposition to the accused in numerous police stations.
Based on a grievance, the CCB officers took over the investigation and tracked down the accused.
The police officers seized three SUVs, gold valuables, and ₹28 lakh in money from them.
The accused have been taken into custody for additional investigation.
