West Bengal Chief Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party won’t be able to cross 200 seats within the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Coming down closely on the BJP, the Trinamool Congress chief stated “during Bengal elections in 2021, they (BJP) said ‘200 paar’ but in Delhi (2024 polls) they won’t even reach 200.”  “BJP is in energy, that’s why they do no matter they need. But they don’t perceive energy is non permanent, chair might come and go however democracy will proceed endlessly. The Constitution will proceed endlessly, there could also be some amendments. But this structure can’t be bulldozed. That’s why they (BJP) is not going to win the upcoming 2024 election, information company ANI quoted Banerjee as saying. 

Attacking the BJP over stripping of TMC’s nationwide celebration tag, Mamata stated “I will resign if proven that I called Amit Shah over TMC’s national party status.” “My party’s name will remain All India Trinamool Congress,” she added.

Earlier in April, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revoked the nationwide celebration standing of the Trinamool Congress. The Mamata Banerjee-led celebration didn’t reply publicly. Following the event, the opposition BJP mocked the TMC.

The TMC was shaped on January 1, 1998, after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left the Congress to type her personal political celebration.

After two unsuccessful makes an attempt in 2001 and 2006, the celebration got here to energy by defeating the Left Front in 2011, using the crest of huge public outrage in opposition to the communists.
