New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning in reference to an alleged insurance coverage rip-off within the Union Territory, officers stated on Friday (April 21). 

Reacting to the event, Malik advised information company PTI that the CBI has requested for his presence on the company’s Akbar Road guesthouse in Delhi for “certain clarifications”. “They want certain clarifications for which they want my presence. I am going to Rajasthan so I have given them dates from April 27 to 29 when I am available,” Malik stated.

Last 12 months, the CBI had questioned Satypal Malik in reference to this case. In April final 12 months, the CBI lodged two FIRs over corruption allegations levelled by Malik within the awarding of contracts for a gaggle medical insurance coverage scheme for presidency staff and civil work price Rs 2,200 crore associated to the Kiru hydroelectric energy venture in Jammu and Kashmir.
