Muslims throughout the State celebrated Id-Ul-Fitr by offering namaz on Saturday, marking the top of the holy month of Ramzan.
Thousands provided namaz since daybreak and later provided donations and organised poor feeding programmes.
Many had been seen hugging each other and exchanging greetings at mosques.
In town, prayers had been provided at Gymkhana Grounds, Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Murali Nagar Eidgah, Pantakaluva Exhibition Ground, Masjid E Madina, Ibrahimpatnam Madarsa and different locations.
“Id-Ul-Fitr sends the message of peace and love. We celebrate the festival with friends, relatives and neighbours, irrespective of community,” stated a person who provided namaz at Gymkhana Grounds.
