Grand Challenge for innovation in food processing unveiled

A Grand Challenge for innovation in food processing, open to startups and innovators from throughout India, has been rolled out by the Telangana authorities.

The purpose is to establish, by the problem, distinctive propositions from startups and innovators in the areas of plant equipment, high quality test, storage and godown monitoring of assorted commodities. The problem goals to map improvements to reinforce the agricultural food processing companies, Telangana State Food Processing Society (TSFPS) Director Akhil Kumar Gawar mentioned this after Industries and IT Minister Ok.T. Rama Rao launched the poster for the programme in the presence of Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister of Agriculture S. Niranjan Reddy and others at The Food Conclave 2023 right here on Saturday.

Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) in collaboration with TSFPS launched the poster for the programme that additionally seeks to recognise the Business to Government (B2G) startups and innovators and provides them a possibility to current their options and worth propositions. The goal is to ease the start-up-procurement course of by the federal government and improve the requirements of native food processing companies by inculcating innovation.

In a launch, the organisers of the Conclave mentioned the main target might be on merchandise and options pertaining to storage, processing equipment, packaging, distribution, high quality and security test by growth of equipment, built-in tech platform for storage and cost, AI/IOT based mostly real-time godown monitoring, traceability to observe commodity high quality, bio degradable post- harvest packaging.
