Morinda sacrilege incident: Jasvir Singh, accused of desecrating the Guru Granth Sahib and hitting two Sikh clergymen at the historic Kotwali Sahib gurdwara died on Monday. As per the knowledge supplied by the police, Singh who was lodged in a jail in Mansa district, died at the Mansa civil hospital after he complained of “discomfort”. 

Singh died at round 9:10 pm

Jasvir Singh was accused within the sacrilege incident that occurred at the historic Kotwali Sahib gurdwara in Morinda city on April 24. He was lodged within the Mansa jail on April 29 after his police remand ended.

Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police Nanak Singh stated the accused died at the civil hospital at round 9:10 pm. Singh was taken to the hospital within the afternoon after he complained of discomfort. The police additional knowledgeable that the reason for loss of life will likely be clear after the autopsy launch of the report. 

Singh was experiencing issue in respiratory

As per a report of PTI, a physician at the Mansa civil hospital stated Jasvir Singh was introduced from the jail to the hospital at round 4 pm as he was experiencing issue in respiratory. At round 8:30 pm, his situation deteriorated as his blood stress and oxygen saturation degree dropped significantly, the physician stated. 

Singh died at round 9:10 pm regardless of one of the best efforts of the docs to save lots of him, he added.

What is Morinda sacrilege incident? 

In a purported video that surfaced on social media platforms, Singh was seen getting into the sanctum sanctorum of the gurdwara and hitting two granthis. He was additionally seen pushing the Holy e book.
