Chhattisgarh highway accident: Eleven individuals, together with 5 ladies and two kids, have been killed when a sports activities utility automobile (SUV) they have been travelling in collided with a truck in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district, police mentioned on Thursday (May 4). The victims, natives of Soram-Bhatgaon village in Dhamtari district, have been on approach to a marriage, police mentioned, including the accident befell close to Jagtara village below Purur police station space on National Highway-30 on Wednesday night time.
The victims have been going to attend a marriage in Markatola village of Kanker district when their automobile collided head on with the truck, mentioned Arun Kumar Sahu, Station House Officer of Purur police station. While ten occupants of the Mahindra Bolero died on the spot, a toddler succumbed to accidents whereas being shifted to hospital, he mentioned.
The our bodies have been despatched for postmortem, he mentioned, including efforts are on to hint the truck driver who fled the scene abandoning his automobile. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed grief over the incident.
