Tractor March: A day after unprecedented violence tore across the national capital as the farmers’ tractor march ended up in a clash with police, several curbs have been imposed by the cops. Several routes have been closed for commuters, while gates of many metro stations were closed.
Traffic snarls were witnessed in many areas including Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) Flyway and Anand Vihar.
Here are some important things to know if you are commuting in the national territory today:
Two lanes each are closed for traffic from Kalindi Kunj to Noida and Noida to Kalindi Kunj, causing heavy blockage, said Delhi Traffic Police.
Ghazipur Mandi, NH-9 and NH-24 have been closed for traffic movement. People commuting from Delhi to Ghaziabad are advised to take Shahdara, Karkari Mor and DND.
The route from Minto Road which was closed – has been opened for traffic movement.
Metro services :
Entry and exit to Lal Quila metro station and entry at Jama Masjid metro station have been closed.
Meanwhile, heavy security has been deployed near the Red Fort where a group of protestors entered the fort and unfurled their flags from its ramparts yesterday.
