Cyclone Mocha: Most North-Eastern States To Witness ‘Heavy’ To ‘Very Heavy’ Rainfall, Says IMD | India News


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned on Friday that cyclone Mocha over the southeast Bay of Bengal is prone to trigger `heavy` to `very heavy` rainfall in Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, southern Assam, and components of Manipur and adjoining areas on Saturday and Sunday. The IMD mentioned that the cyclonic storm is prone to transfer north, north-eastwards, and intensify additional into a particularly extreme cyclonic storm over the east-central Bay of Bengal throughout Friday evening.
