New Delhi: Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday clarified that the ultimate choice to permit the online game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to return to the nation will solely be taken after three months of a strict trial of the sport.

The South Korean firm Krafton on Friday introduced that it’ll quickly resume operations of the online game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) within the nation.

“We are highly grateful to the Indian authorities for allowing us to resume operations of Battlegrounds Mobile India,” Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, stated in a press release.

“We are excited to announce that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be available for download soon and we cannot wait to welcome you back to our platform,” he added.

The transfer got here lower than two years after the Indian authorities banned Krafton’s marquee providing PUBG within the nation. Krafton later introduced the launch of the BGMI recreation in May 2021.

The Indian authorities then ordered Google and Apple to dam the BGMI gaming app from their respective on-line shops below Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
