The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday raided the homes of five native terrorists who’re at the moment working from throughout the border and making determined makes an attempt to revive militancy in Doda district, a senior police officer stated.
Senior Superintendent of Police of Doda district Abdul Qayoom stated the raids have been performed by the SIU in the Gandoh space in reference to a case registered in opposition to the five terrorists in 2021 beneath numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The officer stated the searches would assist collect proof and determine their supporters and sympathizers who’re working as overground employees.
The terrorists whose homes have been searched have been Atta Mohd alias “Adil Mubassir” of Tanta Kahara, Mohd Yasir alias “Shahid” of Kunthal-Tanta, Mohd Shafi alias “Nadeem Bhai” and Amjid Ali alias “Rashid” of Trinkal Kahara, and Majid Hussain alias “Abu Zahid Saqib” of Manoie Chilli Pingal, the SSP stated.
“All these native terrorists have ex-filtrated to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the early Nineties and are at the moment working from Pakistan. They are making determined makes an attempt to revive militancy in Doda by means of contacting the native youth via digital mode and instigating them to hitch militancy,” Qayoom stated.
