Kejriwal’s announcement on UP Polls last month:
In December, Kejriwal announced that the Aam Aadmi Party will contest the legislative assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh which are slated to be held in the year 2022. Making the huge electoral announcement, Kejriwal had then said that the development of Uttar Pradesh has been held back by dirty politics and corrupt leaders there.
The crucial legislative assembly elections in the politically volatile state of Uttar Pradesh is slated to take place in the month of February or March 2022 to elect 403 members of the state assembly. The term of current assembly elected in 2017 will expire on 14 March 2022.
