Domestic passenger vehicle wholesales grew by 13.54 per cent in May to three,34,247 items, as in comparison with the identical month final 12 months, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers mentioned on Tuesday (June 13). As per the newest knowledge issued by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), dispatches of passenger automobiles (PVs) from producers to sellers have been at 2,94,392 items in May 2022. Two-wheeler home wholesales have been at 14,71,550 items, as in opposition to 12,53,187 items in May final 12 months, a progress of 17.42 per cent.
Similarly, three-wheeler wholesales have been greater at 48,732 items, as in comparison with 28,595 items in May 2022. Total vehicle dispatches throughout classes have been at 18,08,686 items, as in comparison with 15,32,861 items in May 2022, SIAM mentioned.
“All the segments viz. passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers have posted growth in double digits in May 2023, compared to May 2022. We anticipate this trend to continue supported by the prevalent economic environment,” SIAM President Vinod Aggarwal SIAM mentioned.
