ICC announces detailed schedule for WTC 2023-25, final to be held at Lord’s

The International Cricket Council has introduced a detailed schedule for the brand new World Test Championship 2023-25. After Australia capped off their dominant WTC cycle with a win over India within the showdown conflict, the world now strikes to the third version of the Test Championship. The upcoming version of the Championship begins with the Ashes and can get completed with the summit conflict to be held at the long-lasting Lord’s.

ICC has introduced a detailed schedule for the Test cycle. As per the announcement, 9 groups will compete within the 68 Test matches throughout 27 collection over two years. The groups which can be collaborating within the third version of the event are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.

Moreover, every WTC collection will function two to 5 Test matches and every of the 9 groups will play six collection – three at dwelling and three away. Notably, the final will be performed between the 2 high groups at the Lord’s.

Notably, the 2023 and 2025 WTC Finals have been earlier scheduled to be held at the Lord’s however due to industrial causes the 2023 Final was shifted to The Oval.

India will be enjoying 19 matches within the 2023-25 cycle. The Men in Blue’s cost for the Test glory will start with a two-match away collection in West Indies. The Indians will then journey to South Africa for a two-game contest in December 2023 and January 2024, adopted by a five-match dwelling collection in opposition to England in January and February 2024. India will host Bangladesh and New Zealand in a two and three-match collection, respectively. The Men in Blue’s final collection will be an away collection in opposition to Australia in October/November 2024.

The reigning champions Aussies will be enjoying 19 matches within the new cycle, 9 away and 10 at dwelling. They will tour England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka for the away contests. Whereas their dwelling collection will be in opposition to India, Pakistan, and the West Indies.

England will play 21 Test matches, 10 at their dwelling and 11 away from dwelling. They will play at dwelling in opposition to West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Australia. Whereas their away Test excursions will be in opposition to India, Pakistan, and New Zealand.
