NEW DELHI: Before leaving for the assembly of the opposition events in Patna, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday stated that he wished all events to struggle unitedly to take away the BJP authorities from the Centre. “We want everyone to fight united and after going there we will get the opinion of everyone and a consensus will be reached. Rahul Gandhi has been trying for opposition unity and this meeting in Patna is part of that,” Kharge asserted.

To a query about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal`s AAP threatening to walkout of the opposition assembly in the event that they don`t get assist of Congress over ordinance, Kharge, who can be the Leader of Opposition within the Rajya Sabha, stated, “I’m not conscious of this and he additionally is aware of that ordinance is just not opposed outdoors. The first assembly of the opposition events is scheduled in Patna to deliver the like-minded events collectively forward of the essential 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The assembly will likely be attended by a number of high opposition events, together with Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal(United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, DMK, JMM, Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP and others. Besides Kharge, former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi can be attending the assembly.
