The largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI) on Sunday revamped its digital banking software ‘YONO for Every Indian’ and additional launched Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) services. This was carried out on the backdrop of the lender’s 68th Bank Day. With YONO’s new avatar, any bank prospects will now have entry to UPI options like Scan and Pay, Pay by contacts, and Request cash, amongst others.

In 2022-23 itself, 64 per cent or 78.60 lakh financial savings accounts have been acquired digitally by means of YONO. The upgraded model of the YONO app will empower prospects of different banks to embark on the YONO journey, thereby encouraging them to turn into part of the ever-growing SBI household, the assertion added.

UPI QR Cash performance

“With the rollout of the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal facility, both the customers of SBI and other banks can withdraw cash seamlessly from ICCW-enabled ATMs of any bank by using the ‘UPI QR Cash’ functionality. The transaction will be facilitated through a single-use dynamic QR code displayed on the ATM screen,” the assertion mentioned.

“Users can conveniently withdraw cash by employing the Scan and Pay feature available on their UPI application. While the groundbreaking facility simplifies the cash withdrawal process, it also ensures enhanced security for customers,” it added. By eliminating the necessity to enter a PIN or bodily deal with a debit card, the ICCW facility minimises the dangers related to shoulder browsing or card cloning, the bank mentioned.

Steps to be adopted in YONO app

  • Login to the YONO app utilizing web banking consumer id & password or MPIN
  • Select YONO Cash choice from the Home web page or from YONO Pay choice in Home display screen or from YONO Pay choice on Hamburger Menu
  • On YONO Cash touchdown web page, underneath “New Request” tab, click on on the ATM choice underneath YONO Cash
  • Select the account to be debited and enter the quantity to be withdrawn. Click on Next.
  • Create your YONO Cash PIN for particular transaction and click on on Next. This PIN will solely be displayed on the display screen on the time of creation and won’t be shared by means of any channel / on the enquiry web page.
  • Review the transaction particulars, settle for the Terms and Conditions and click on on Confirm

  • Your request is registered on YONO and Transaction Reference Number will probably be despatched to your registered cell quantity by means of SMS

Steps to be adopted on the ATM

  • At the YONO Cash enabled SBI ATM, click on on YONO CASH
  • Enter the Transaction Reference Number acquired by means of SMS
  • Enter the Amount to be withdrawn. Amount must be identical as entered throughout initiation of YONO Cash Request
  • Then enter the YONO Cash PIN identical as created whereas initiating YONO Cash request.
  • The transaction is validated and authenticated
  • Cash is allotted and transaction is accomplished
